Bergamot & Blackwood

The World Within

Morning light has found its way into the darkest part of the Vale.

It slips between tall trunks in narrow shafts, catching leaves and moss before disappearing again into the shadows.

Bergamot and orange bring the first brightness, sharpened by green leaf, nutmeg and pepper. The woodland feels newly awakened, fresh air moving through somewhere old and deeply rooted.

Further beneath the canopy, the light begins to soften.

Clove brings warmth amongst the trees while lavender adds an aromatic calm. Patchouli and amber gather underneath, drawing the fragrance away from the open air and deeper into the woods.

Then the forest floor takes over.

Vetiver, sandalwood and cedarwood settle amongst green moss, earthy and quietly enveloping. Tonka leaves a final softness behind, warming the darker edges without disturbing their depth.

Bergamot & Blackwood is the meeting of brightness and shadow, aromatic light above deep, moss-seasoned woods.
